At the Annual Meeting of Kilkenny County Council the following were elected Cathaoirleach and Leas Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council

• Cathaoirleach: Cllr. Pat Dunphy (FG), Ballygorey, Mooncoin, County Kilkenny.
• Leas Cathaoirleach: Cllr. Mary Hilda Kavanagh (FG), Whiteswall, Crosspatrick, County Kilkenny.
