Supplement to the Postal and Special Voters List,
SUPPLEMENT TO THE POSTAL AND SPECIAL VOTERS LIST
EUROPEAN AND LOCAL ELECTIONS TO BE HELD ON 23rd MAY 2014
To be eligible for inclusion on the Supplement to the Postal and Special Voters List, you must be:
· 18 years of age by polling day, and
· be ordinarily resident at the address at which they wish to be registered.
Certain persons are eligible to vote by post. If you are not on the register, you may be eligible for inclusion on the Supplement to the Postal Voters List.
The categories of people eligible for postal voting are: members of the Garda Siochana, full-time members of the defence forces, diplomats serving abroad and their spouses, persons unable to vote in person due to a physical illness or physical disability who are ordinarily resident at their residence, persons who because of the circumstances of their occupation, service or employment (including students pursuing a full-time course of study in an educational institution in the State) are likely to be unable to vote in person at their polling station on polling day, and prisoners.
Persons eligible to apply for inclusion in the Supplement to theSpecial Voters List are those unable to vote in person due to a physical illness or physical disability who are ordinarily resident in a hospital, nursing home or similar institution.
- Application forms are available from KilkennyCounty Council, Corporate Services, County Hall, John Street , Kilkenny or Kilkenny Borough Council, City Hall Kilkenny.
- Please return the completed form by Friday 25th April 2014 in order to allow a decision to be made on your application.
