Loose hanging branches and leaning trees Update 18/10/2017 3:15pm

Please be advised that loose branches hanging in trees may cause danger in the coming days due to adverse weather conditions forecasted. Of particular concern are trees which remain standing but are leaning dangerously and trees which have large hanging branches, broken off, but remaining in the trees. Heavy rain or wind may dislodge some of this remaining debris.

Landowners are requested to check trees on their property near roads or buildings for loose hanging branches and to remove them where possible to do so safely. This will reduce risk to life and property if winds increase over the coming days. Please ensure your safety when inspecting or handling trees and branches and you are reminded to always work safely.
