UPDATE 17/10/2017 - 9:15am

As we all enjoy the morning sunshine please be aware that fallen trees and debris remain on many roads. Council road crews and the fire services are working throughout the county since early morning to clear trees and debris. Members of the public are requested not to attempt to remove fallen trees.

Drivers should travel with caution and expect obstructions on the road.

There are still numerous areas throughout the county without power. Citizens can check the status of power outages on www.powercheck.ie.
