KRSP City Walk Series 2013
Eight Weeks guided fitness walks with qualified leader exploring routes in Kilkenny City. All levels are very welcome.
City Walks running from Monday 21st January - 11th March 2013
Newpark Walks running from Wednesday 23rd January - 13th March 2013
Cost €20 (€1.25 per walk) to be paid in full on first night for 8 weeks (this includes both walks)
City Walks - Meet at Canal Square (opposite X-Vision) - Monday 7pm
Newpark Walks - Meet at Newpark Family Resource Centre Car Park - Wednesday 7pm

Meet & Train
Learn to run or join to train with a group. This group meets twice weekly on the track. All levels welcome. Buggies and new mums are particularly welcome!

Child Welfare and Protection in Sport
This is a 3 hour basic awareness course, looking at how we can keep adults and young people safe and happy within the club environment. This course is open to sports leaders, coaches, parents, children's officers and other adults involved in the organisation of sport for young people. Attendees must be over 18 years of age.

First Aid Training
Automated External Defibrillation / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
The Heartsaver AED Course teaches you the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the relief of choking for adults, children and infants. An AED is a computerised defibrillator which analyses the heart rhythm of a person in cardiac arrest and uses voice prompts to advise you if a shock is needed. The AED is an important link in the chain of survival and this course teaches you how to use them effectively. This course is approved by the Irish Heart Foundation.

Men's Activities
KRSP is looking for men who are interested in becoming involved in games such as bowling, skittles and tossing. Workshops take place every Tuesday night in the Watershed at 8pm.


DISABILITY
Judo Assist For Children with Special Needs
11am, The Friary Hall, Friary Street, Kilkenny
Judo Assist session for children with special needs take place one Saturday a month in Friary Hall, Friary St, Kilkenny. Meet at 10.45am to suit up with class starting at 11am sharp.

Football for Adults with an Intellectual Disability
These sessions are open to Adults with an Intellectual Disability. The team participates in regional blitzes.
The Watershed, Kilkenny, Every 2nd Monday at 3pm.

Swim Lessons for Children with Physical Disabilities
A ten week block of swimming lessons will start on Tuesday, January 15th, for children with physical disabilities in St. Patrick's Hydrotherapy Pool, Kells Road, Kilkenny. These sessions are suitable for those who require extra assistance in the water. Classes are on-going for children with disabilities. Contact KRSP for further information or to register.

KRSP Coach Education Grant
This grant is to assist clubs to encourage all coaches / volunteers to undertake appropriate education and training and to develop the quality of coaching resources in Kilkenny. This is an open-ended grant scheme and applications will be accepted as coaching courses become available. Please apply before attending courses. In any one calendar year, a club can apply for up to €500 maximum for both schemes. Criteria and application forms available on www.krsp.ie
