THE COUNCILS OF THE COUNTY AND CITY OF KILKENNY

DRAFT ROAD SAFETY PLAN 2007 - 2012

The Kilkenny 'Road Safety Together Committee' comprising representatives of An Garda Siochana, The Road Safety Authority, The Department of Transport, The National Roads Authority, The Health Service Executive and Kilkenny County Council has prepared a Draft Road Safety Plan for County Kilkenny covering the period 2007 to 2012.

The primary objective of the Plan is to achieve a reduction in the numbers of fatal and serious road accidents in County Kilkenny over the period through enforcement, engineering and education.

The Councils of the County and City of Kilkenny now invite your views on the draft plan and would welcome any observations from the public on road safety.

City Hall, High Street
Callan, Castlecomer, Thomastown and Newrath Area Offices

and is also available on the Council website at www.kilkennycoco.ie

Written submissions should be addressed to the Administrative Officer, Roads Department, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny and should be received on or before Thursday 15th November 2007.
