Library Assistant Vacancy

LIBRARY ASSISTANT

A Panel will be formed from which permanent and temporary vacancies may be filled.

Salary Scale: The current salary scale for the position is €22,893 to €38339 or if served as public servant on or before 31st December, 2010 is €23,320 to €38,339.

Hours: 37 hours per week. Five days over a six day period at any time from Monday to Saturday, including some evenings. Hours may be subject to change as required.

Candidates shall:

(i) have obtained at least Grade D in Higher or Ordinary Level, in five subjects from the approved list of subjects in the Department of Education Established Leaving Certificate Examination or Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme including Irish and/or English

or

(ii) have passed an examination of at least equivalent standard

or

(iii) have satisfactory relevant experience which encompasses demonstrable equivalent skills

Successful candidates will be required to provide his/her own transport.
