DRAFT REGISTER OF ELECTORS 2009/2010
A new Register of Electors is prepared each year and preparatory work has now begun on the Register which will come into force on 15th February, 2009.
Special Voters List
If you have a physical illness or physical disability that is likely to continue for the duration of the Register (12 months from 15th February, 2009) and you are ordinarily resident in a hospital, in a home or similar institution for persons with a physical illness or physical disability, you should apply for inclusion in the Special Voters List.
You should obtain an application form SV1 from Kilkenny County Council and return same not later than 25th November 2008.
Postal Voters List
Disabled Postal Voters List
If you have a physical illness or physical disability and you wish to vote by post from your home, you should apply now to be included on the Postal Voters List. You may only apply for entry on this Postal List if:-
- you are unable to go in person to vote at your Polling Station due to physical illness or physical disability.
And
- the illness or disability is likely to continue for the duration of the Register (12 months from 15th February 2009)
You should obtain an application form PV1 from Kilkenny County Council and return same not later than 25th November 2008.
(b) Postal Voters List for electors unable to vote at their Polling Station due to circumstances of occupation/education.
If you are likely to be unable to go in person on polling day at an election or referendum, to vote at your polling station because of circumstances of occupation, service or employment, you may apply for entry in the Postal Voters List
An elector participating on a full time basis on an educational course of study at an educational institution in the stateand who is likely to be unable to go in person on polling day to vote at his/her polling station, may also apply to be included in the Postal Voters List.
You should obtain an application form PV2 from Kilkenny County Council and return same not later than 25th November 2008.
