Notice of the Making of the Kilkenny City & Environs Development Plan 2014-2020
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 12(12) of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2013 that Kilkenny Borough and County Councils, being the Planning Authorities for the City & Environs of Kilkenny at the time of making the Plan, have made in accordance with the provisions of the above Acts, a City & Environs Development Plan on the 16th May 2014. The Plan will come into effect on the 13th June 2014.
The Development Plan is accompanied by an Environmental Report, prepared in accordance with the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004-2011, and an Appropriate Assessment, pursuant to Article 6 of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC.
The Kilkenny City & Environs Development 2014-2020 is available for inspection at the following locations:
- The Planning Office of Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny during the hours of 9.00 a.m. to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.00 p.m., Monday to Friday (both dates inclusive but excluding Public Holidays).
- The City and County Library at Johns Quay, and the branch library at Loughboy, Kilkenny during their normal opening hours.
- The Council’s dedicated Development Plan website ourplan.kilkenny.ie, and www.kilkennycoco.ie.
The Development Plan Written Statement & Zoning Map, Appendices, Appropriate Assessment (Natura Impact Report) and Environmental Report (Strategic Environmental Assessment) are free to download from ourplan.kilkenny.ie. A copy of the Plan is available for purchase from the Planning Department, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny (€95 for all four documents, or €30 for the Written Statement and Zoning Map).
