Emergency Road Closure-LP1025, Newline, Callan.

Please be advised that it is necessary to implement an emergency road closure to through traffic on the LP1025, Newline between Goatsbridge & Ballyhall, Callan due to a culvert collapse at the southern end of this road.

The road is blocked as of now and anticipate this blockage will extend up to and including at least Saturday. Repair works are in progress to address the issue. The diversions are as follows:

Northbound traffic to Callan will divert via the LP1028 to Coolagh Chapel and thereafter the R698.
Southbound traffic from Callan will divert via the R699 to Caherlesk x and the LP1028 to Ballaghtobin.
Appropriate warning signage shall be erected.
