Fallen trees, Power outages and Power Lines - 16/10/2017 - 17:25pm

There are numerous reports of fallen trees and power outages throughout county Kilkenny. There are reports of road blockages at more than 39 locations with power outages at 17 locations around the county. It is expected that fallen trees in more locations will be identified in the coming hours.

Many fallen trees may have broken power lines entangled in their branches. It is extremely dangerous to attempt to move these trees, especially during hours of darkness. Members of the public are requested not to attempt to remove fallen trees. Trained crews will be deployed to affected areas to clear trees and debris as soon as possible. Many locations will not be cleared until tomorrow.

Storm related issues can be reported to Kilkenny County Councils dedicated Call Centre 056-7794145.
