Press Release 5th September 2016 Peace Park Re-opening

Kilkenny County Council is pleased to announce the re-opening of pedestrian and cycle access through the Peace Park. Access to the Peace Park from Greens Bridge Street and from John's Quay will be available from 9am on Tuesday, 6th September, 2016.

The reopening of the Peace Park coincides with the completion of the new Central Access Scheme Bridge. Additionally the re-opening of the Peace Park will mitigate the inconvenience to pedestrians and cyclists as works proceed on the approaches to the new bridge along Wolfe Tone Street, Michael Street and Greensbridge Street.

Kilkenny County Council wishes to express appreciation to those who have exercised patience as the works proceeded and access to the Peace Park was impeded.
