TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the DECISION of Kilkenny County Council to close to public traffic a section of the N77 National Secondary Road, from the N77/N78 Junction at Hennebry's Cross to Connahy/ Oldtown, south of Ballyragget Village. This restriction is necessary to facilitate essential road strengthening works - Details of the proposed road closure is as follows:

Road to be Closed	Alternative Routes	Duration of Closure
N77 National Secondary Road from N77/N78 Junction at Hennebry's Cross (Dunmore East) to Connahy/Oldtown, south of Ballyragget Village.	N77 Southbound traffic from Durrow divert at Ballyragget via R694 to Castlecomer and N78 to Kilkenny. N77 Northbound traffic from Kilkenny divert via N78 at the Junction of the N77/N78 Hennebry's Cross to Castlecomer, and via the R694 from Castlecomer to Ballyragget. Restricted local diversions will also be in place, utilising the Regional and Local Road network. These diversions will be signed and key junctions will be manned during the period of the road closure.	From Monday the 10th of October to Thursday the 13th October 2016. The closure will be in place from 7am to 7pm each day.
