Location of Road Closures: I. Southbound between Junction 6 (Powerstown) & Junction 7 (Paulstown) on Monday 12th & 19th September 2016. II. Southbound between Junction 7 (Paulstown) & Junction 9 (Kilkenny South) on Tuesday 13th & 20th September 2016. N10 link road to M9 closed to outbound traffic during the closure. III. Northbound between Junction 9 (Kilkenny South) & Junction 7 (Paulstown) on Wednesday 14th & 21st September 2016. N10 link road to M9 closed to outbound traffic during the closure. IV. Northbound between Junction 7 (Paulstown) & Junction 6 (Powerstown) on Thursday 15th and 22nd September 2016. Signed diversion route shall be in operation on all Diversion Routes. |
Alternative Routes:
I. For closures between Junction 6 (Powerstown) & Junction 7 (Paulstown) Divert from Junction 6 onto the R448 towards Paulstown. In Paulstown Village continue onto the R712 and turn Right at Roundabout and re- join the M9 at Junction 7 South of Paulstown. II. For closures between Junction 7 (Paulstown) & Junction 9 (Kilkenny South) Divert from Junction 7 onto the R712 and
continue to Kilkenny City.
In Kilkenny City, at Old Dublin Rd
Roundabout turn Left on to the N10 Ring
Road, continue on N10 Ring Road to
Waterford Rd Roundabout and turn Left to continue on N10 towards Danesfort, Junction 9 and re-join M9. N10 Motorway Link closed at Clara Rd
Roundabout to all outbound traffic. III. For closures between Junction 9
(Kilkenny South) & Junction 7 (Paulstown) Divert from Junction 9 to the N10 towards
Kilkenny City.
In Kilkenny City at Waterford Road
Roundabout turn Right on to N10 Ring Road, continue on N10 Ring Road to Old Dublin Road Roundabout and turn Right on to R712 towards Paulstown.
In Paulstown re-join the M9. N10 Motorway Link closed at Clara Rd
Roundabout to all outbound traffic. IV. For closures between Junction 7 (Paulstown) & Junction 6 (Powerstown) Divert from Junction 7 onto the Link Road
towards Paulstown Village.
At the Roundabout turn Left onto R712
and in Paulstown Village continue on the R448 towards Carlow, at Powerstown re-join the M9 at Junction 6. | Closures to commence
at 19:00hrs each night
and re-open at 07:00hrs
the following morning
for each section. The carriageway shall
re-open following
completion of the works
when deemed safe to do
so by
the contractor which
may be sooner than the
estimated finish time
