River Levels & Further Risk of Flooding
The River Levels of the Nore upstream of Thomastown & Inistioge continue to rise. There is therefore a risk of further flooding at Thomastown & at Inistioge.
The level of the Barrow is rising upsteam of Graiguenamanagh and there is therefore a risk of further flooding in Graiguenamanagh.

Road Closures
- Motorists should avoid Thomastown and Graiguenamanagh.
- The R700 is closed from New Ross to Kilkenny -The alternative Route is via N25 & M9.
- The R448 is closed from Paultown to Knocktopher-The alternative Route is via the M9 or via R711 , Kilkenny Ring Rd & N10 to Knocktopher.
- The Circular Rd in Kilkenny City is closed as is the Bleach Rd near Kilkenny City.
- Motorists are urged to travel with caution on the N24 from Waterford to Carrick on Suir-There is considerable flooding on parts of this roadway with traffic down to single lane.
- Considerable Surface water, Spot flooding and debris on many roads-Motorists are advised to drive slowly and with care.

Council Staff continued to be deployed.
Kilkenny County Council staff were deployed again overnight and were supported by the Fire Service , Civil Defence, and the Army at Freshford, Robertshill in Kilkenny City, Thomastown , Inistioge & Graiguenamanagh.
