Kilkenny County Council Arts Office is delighted to announce their call out for applications for their Arts Act Grant, the Tyrone Guthrie Bursary and the ArtL!nks Bursary 2018.
Arts Act Grants 2018
Any organisation or individual based in the Kilkenny administrative area involved in activities, which promote, develop the knowledge, appreciation and practice of the arts is eligible to apply for the Arts Act Grant.
1. Groups and Organisations promoting arts
- Kilkenny County Council will consider applications from organisations involved in the promotion of the arts in Kilkenny.
2. Individual Artists all Art forms
- Kilkenny County Council will consider applications from practicing artists living in Kilkenny to enable them to pursue their practice and to develop within their chosen discipline, including professional development and project awards
An application for a grant may be made under one of the above categories only. Groups and individuals can only make one application for an Arts Act Grants annually.
Tyrone Guthrie Bursary 2018
Kilkenny County Councils Arts Office in partnership with the Tyrone Guthrie Centre is now offering its annual residency opportunity for a practitioner in any art form currently based in Kilkenny to spend two weeks at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre artists' workplace, Annaghmakerrig, Co Monaghan.
The aim of the Residency is to assist and encourage both established and emerging practitioners, in giving them an opportunity to work intensively on a project alongside others in a very unique environment.

ArtLinks Bursaries 2018
Kilkenny County Council in partnership with the ArtLinks partners in Carlow, Waterford and Wexford is pleased to announce that they are currently accepting applications for the ArtLinks Bursary Awards 2018.
ArtLinks is a partnership of the four Local Authority Arts Offices in Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford. It is supported by the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaion. ArtLilnks provides professional development opportunities and supports for established and emerging artists who are resident in the four partner local authority areas in the South East region.
Artists must be a member of ArtLinks to avail of these supports. Membership is free and is open to both Professional and Emerging Artists who are resident within the four partner Local Authorities. If you are not already a member log on to www.artlinks.ie to register for membership. Application forms and guidelines are available to download from this website also.
Bursaries are available in the following areas:
- Emerging artist Award (for those commencing a career in the arts sector)
- Professional development Award (for professional artists)
- Collaborative Award (for collaborative projects between ArtLinks members)
