Kilkenny County Council Arts Office in association with ArtLinks is delighted to announce the names of those artists who have been successful in attaining a Bursary Award under the ArtLinks programme for 2014. Despite difficult economic circumstances for funding the Arts in Ireland, Kilkenny County Council is committed to providing assistance to professional and emerging artists to develop their creative practice and has awarded €11,300 in support of these individuals in 2014. Speaking earlier this week Mary Butler, Kilkenny Arts Officer stated, 'Kilkenny Arts Office is delighted to be in a position to continue to offer Bursary Awards to local artists as part of the ArtLinks programme. These Awards make a substantial difference for artists living and working in the county to develop themselves and their artistic practice. We look forward to watching their development and seeing the fruits of their artistic labour in the future.'
