The Kilkenny 'Borough Council' Waste Collection Service to Cease
The so called Kilkenny 'Borough Council' waste collection service will cease after the 27th January 2017. Customers are required to make arrangements with an alternative waste management provider. Currently there are three permitted waste collectors operating in Kilkenny City; Greenstar, Doheny Wheelie Bins & Recycling Ltd & Country Clean Recycling.
A provision has been put in place for customers living on narrow laneways that can't be accessed by a commercial refuse truck. Customers located on laneways listed below can continue using the 'borough' pre-paid refuse and recycling bags and present them as usual on Wednesdays.
Retained Waste Service for Laneways
If you are currently a 'Borough Council' customer and your address is not listed above, then you must seek alternative arrangements for your waste disposal and recycling as your existing waste collection service will cease after the 27th of January. For further information, ring the Environment Section of Kilkenny County Council on 056-7794470.
