Freshford Old Graveyard Recording Group won the award for the Best Event Organised in Conjunction with a Local Authority, in the 2014 National Heritage Week Event Organiser Awards on 5th December for their publication "Unearthing Freshfords Forgotten History". Over 270 headstones in St. Lachtain's graveyard in Freshford were recorded, photographed and mapped and the results were compiled into an informative and attractive publication.
