Higher Education Grant Scheme 2011 - Now Closed
All Application Forms must be submitted online or downloaded and submitted
to Kilkenny County Council with the required documentation.
Closing date for receipt of applications for the academic year 2011/12 is the 30th April 2012. Any outstanding documentation for submitted applications must also be submitted by this date.
The online system will generate a list of documents required to process your application once you complete and submit your application online. It is advisable that applicants complete and submit their applications as soon as possible as it can take a number of weeks to obtain items that may be applicable in your case e.g. P21 tax balancing statement, letters from Social Welfare, a completed set of accounts for the year 2010.
No application will be processed until the accompanying documentation and signed declaration is submitted to the relevant awarding authority.

Please note application forms for NEW applicants applying for University Courses and whose contact will be Kilkenny County Council are only available to complete online or download at www.studentfinance.ie
Students who have previously held a Higher Education Grant from Kilkenny County Council or who wish to renew their grant should contact the office to obtain a renewal application form.

Birth Certificate (Original)
- Proof Of Residency For 3 Of The Last Five Years I.E.
- Leaving And Junior Cert Results
- Letter From School Stating Period Of Attendance
- Social Welfare Statements
- Correspondence From Government Departments

Statement Of Adjusted Profit 2010
P60 2010 For All Employments (Parents & Candidate)
P21 PAYE Balancing Statement 2010 (Available From Revenue)

Copy of divorce agreement showing whether or not maintenance is being paid or received
Copy Of Legal Seperation Agreement Showing Whether Or
Not Maintenance Is Being Paid Or Received
If No Legal Seperation Agreement Is In Place An Affidavit
Will Be Required Stating Whether Or Not Maintenance Is
Being Received Or Paid And How Much.
Change Of Circumstances:
If There Has Been A Change Of Circumstances In 2010 Or 2011 I.E. Redundancy,
Short Time, Unemployment, Then Information Will Be Required Showing Income
For 2011 As Well As 2010 I.E. Social Welfare Statement, P45, Rp50 (Redundancy
Statement), Letter From Employer Stating Short Working Week And Payslips
To Confirm Decrease In Earnings Etc.
