Notice of Publication of Draft Western Environs - Development Contribution Scheme

 

KILKENNY COUNTY COUNCIL

 

Kilkenny County Council has prepared a draft Development Contribution Scheme for the area defined by the Kilkenny Western Environs Local Area Plan, in accordance with Section 48 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000.  This scheme is a continuation for one year  to 31st December 2009,  of the current Kilkenny City Western Environs Development Contribution Scheme which expires on 31st December, 2008.

 

Copies of the draft Western Environs Development Contribution Scheme are available:

 

1. free of charge, for a period of six weeks, from Friday 24th October, 2008 to Friday, the  5th December, 2008 in the Kilkenny County Council offices at County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny during normal opening hours

2. on the Kilkenny County Council website at: www.kilkennycoco.ie

 

Submissions or observations in relation to the draft Development Contribution Scheme may be made, before the close of business on 5th December, 2008 as follows:

1. in writing, to the Director of Services, Planning & Environment, Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny.

The levels of proposed contribution are as follows:-

 

Description of Development	Amount of Contribution (per m2 of development area unless otherwise specified)
1.    Residential – Roads & Recreation + Water +        Wastewater	€147
2.    Commercial, Industrial & Retail– Roads & Recreation +     Water + Wastewater	€147
3.    Shortfall in car parking provided	€3,342 per space
4.    Development not coming within any of the foregoing classes	€147

 

The draft Development Contribution Scheme allows for the exemption from, or reductions in, the amount of contribution payable in certain circumstances.
