Draft County Kilkenny Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2017

Proposed Changes to Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws on the National, Regional and Local Road Networks in County Kilkenny.

Kilkenny County Council is proposing amendments to existing Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws.

Schedules are listed in the Draft Bye-Laws as follows:

Schedule 1 - 20km/h Schedule 5 - 60km/h
Schedule 2 - 30km/h Schedule 6 - 80km/h
Schedule 3 - 40 km/h Schedule 7 - 100km/h
Schedule 4 - 50km/h Schedule 8 - 120km/h

No amendments are proposed to existing Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws for Schedules 1, 3 and 8. Amendments are proposed for all other Schedules.

In accordance with Section 9, Road Traffic Act 2004, the Draft County Kilkenny Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2017 have been prepared and will be available for inspection during normal office hours (Monday -Friday) from 15th August 2016 to 9th September 2016 (both dates inclusive) at the following locations:

- County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny.
- City Hall, High Street, Kilkenny.
- Thomastown Area Office, Ladyswell, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny.
- Callan Area Office, Clonmel Road, Callan Co. Kilkenny.
- Piltown Area Office, Ferrybank,Waterford.
- Castlecomer Area Office, Kilkenny Street, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny.

The Draft Bye-Laws and accompanying maps are also available to download and can also be viewed on Kilkenny County Council's Consultation website at
https://consult.kilkenny.ie/en/consultation/proposed-changes-special-speed-limit-bye-laws-national-regional-and-local-road-networks. Submissions and observations may be made online on or before the 9th September 2016.

Submissions can also be made in writing marked "Draft County Kilkenny Special Speed Limit Bye-Laws 2017" to the Senior Executive Engineer, Road Design Office, Dean Street, Kilkenny.
