Irish Water is the new national water utility and is now responsible for managing the delivery of water services in Ireland.
Kilkenny County Council has an Annual Service Plan with Irish Water in relation to the provision of water and waste water services. This ASP is provided for in the Service Level Agreement agreed between the parties under the Water Services (no. 2) Act, 2013.

Local Authorities are required to prepare an updated Assessment of Needs for Water Services Capital Projects every five years. This Report addresses the requirements of Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government Circular Letter L11/03 which requires such an Assessment for the period 2003-2006.
