The Human Resources Department deals with all aspects of the Councils human resources including, Human Resource Strategy, Workforce Planning, Recruitment and Selection, Payroll and Superannuation, Employee Training and Development, Performance Management, Leadership Development, Equality & Diversity Management, Work-Life Balance, Industrial Relations & Employee Health, Safety and Welfare.

Recruitment

The Council recruits it staff through merit based competitions. The process normally involves an advertisement placed in local (and occasionally national) newspapers and on our website, an application form & information booklet which can be downloaded from the Councils website, the making of an application in hard copy only by post, an assessment process which may involve either a desktop or interview short listing followed by a final interview.
