The Southern Region has published an Issues Paper for the Southern Region's Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy.
The Issues Paper frames important questions through which a dialogue can be started on a shared vision for the future of the Southern Region.

With the publication of the Issues paper, the Southern Region kick-start the process of preparing a long-term, twelve to twenty years Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy (RSES) for the whole of our region. Together we can provide the framework through which this vision can be delivered. The questions raised in the Issues Paper are by no means exhaustive but they are a strong launchpad to stimulate debate and discussion on what are deemed essential attributes of a region we feel an attachment to; a region we want to live in and work in, a region that thrives socially and economically, whose success is measured in the well-being of the citizens of the region.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PUBLIC CONSULTATION PERIOD IS EXTENDED TO 5 PM ON FRIDAY 16TH FEBRUARY 2018
