Increase in Fixed Charge Penalties for Parking in a Disabled Parking Bay without Displaying a Valid Disabled Parking Permit.

The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport is raising the fixed penalty charge for parking in a disabled parking bay without a valid disability parking permit. The penalty charge for parking in a disabled bay without displaying a valid disability parking permit is increasing from €80 to €150 with effect from 1st March 2018. The penalty charge of €150 applies if paid within 28 days, increases to €225 if paid within the next 28 days and a summons to issue if the penalty charge is not paid within 56 days.
