Kilkenny County Council - Update as of 9.30am Monday 5th March

Kilkenny County Council will be working today in an effort to get all local roads in the North and South of the County cleared and open for traffic. Residents living on these roads are asked to bear with us. All our resources are out in these areas.

Further updates will issue during the day.

Kilkenny County Council would like to acknowledge the work of all our staff, Army personnel, Civil Defence, Fire Services, Gardai, HSE, Farming Community and other contractors/public who have assisted us in clearing roads and in dealing with emergencies that arose over the last few days.

In particular we appreciate the patience of the general public during the period of this severe weather event.

Our offices are open today; all queries in relation to roads should be made to the Area Offices.

For all water related queries ring 1850 278278 (Irish Water).
For all ESB related queries ring 1850 372999.
Regular updates will be provided throughout the day on all normal news channels, social media, and the Council website,
