Under the Litter Pollution Act, the Council must revise it's Litter Management Plan every three years. A draft plan underwent public consultation in Jaunuary 2018 and it was formally adopted by the Councillors in February 2018. The Plan explains the Council's policy on litter related issues and sets outs objectives to be achieved by the end of 2020.

Kilkenny County Council would like to thank everyone who participated in the public consultation phase of the plan and it aims to complete the 42 listed actions to eliminate litter by 2020.
