Notice of Adoption of Amendment 2 to the Thomastown Local Area Plan 2009-2015

Kilkenny County Council adopted Amendment 2 to the Local Area Plan for Thomastown at the meeting of the County Council on the 16th April, 2012.

The Amendment is available on this website below. It is also available for inspection at the Planning Department at County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny between the hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. Copies of Amendment 2 are available for purchase from the Planning Department for €5.

Notice of Proposed Amendment 2 to Thomastown LAP

Notice of Proposed Amendments 1 to Callan, Castlecomer and Graiguenamanagh Local Area Plans and Proposed Amendment 2 to Thomastown Local Area Plans

Notice is hereby given that Kilkenny County Council proposes to amend the Local Area Plans for Callan, Castlecomer, Graiguenamanagh and Thomastown.

A copy of the Proposed Amendments may be inspected from Wednesday 21st December 2011 to 10th February 2012 at the following locations from Monday to Friday (excl. public holidays):

Submissions or observations with respect to the Proposed Amendments, made in writing to the Director of Services, Planning, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny and received before 4pm on the 10th February 2012, will be taken into consideration before the Proposed Amendments are made. Submissions can also be made via email to localareaplans@kilkennycoco.ie

Submissions may also be made online at http://lap.kilkennycoco.ie

Children, or groups or associations representing the interests of children, are entitled to make submissions or observations to the Proposed Amendments.

Copies of the Proposed Amendments will be available through the Planning Department, Kilkenny County Council from the 21st December.

Strategic Environmental Assessment of Proposed Amendment 2 to the Thomastown Local Area Plan

In accordance with the requirements of Article 14A of the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 as amended, Kilkenny County Council carried out a screening exercise of Amendment 2, to consider whether or not the amended Plan would be likely to have significant effects on the environment, taking account of relevant criteria set out in Schedule 2A of the Regulations. In accordance with Article 14A(5) a determination has been made that implementation of the amended plan would not be likely to have significant effects on the environment.
