Festival & Event Grants Awards Evening 2020

Kilkenny County Council hosted an event in the River Court Hotel to recognise and acknowledge the tremendous work being done by local community groups and tourism festivals throughout Kilkenny.

Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Cllr. Peter "Chap" Cleere, on behalf of his fellow Councillors, publicly thanked the organisers of local and national festivals for their tireless dedication to their local communities.

Chief Executive, Colette Byrne, praised community representatives and informed the attendance of some significant projects being undertaken by Kilkenny County Council in the coming year, including the Abbey Quarter, The Kilkenny Greenway and the Butler Gallery at Evans' home which will shortly be open to the public.

Elected Members from all Municipal Districts, Castlecomer, Callan/Thomastown, Kilkenny and Piltown, attended and met and thanked the local groups.
