Kilkenny Arts office launches its Poetry Broadsheet Issue 6. The aim of the publication is to give local writers a platform for their work. Each poem selected is included in the broadsheet which will be for sale throughout the County.

Kilkenny Poetry Broadsheet - Issue 6

The Arts Office of Kilkenny County Council is delighted to announce the publication of the sixth issue of the very popular KILKENNY POETRY BROADSHEET. The aim of the publication is to give local writers a platform for their work. Each poem selected is included in the broadsheet which will be for sale throughout the County.

This years editor is Peter Denman, Dean of Arts and lecturer in the Department of English in NUI Maynooth.. He has previously edited Poetry Ireland Review and the Irish University Review. He has won the Eric Gregory Award and his poetry has been published in book form and in periodicals. He has also published in an Honest Ulsterman pamphlet Sour Grapes and in a collection The Poets Manual. Peter has been a judge at the Strokestown International Poetry Festival, directed poetry workshops and was course accessor for a post graduate creative writing programme.

The Kilkenny Poetry Broadsheet Issue 6 launch will take place on Wednesday 22nd March 2006 at 7pm in No. 72, John Street, Kilkenny.
