Extension to Temporary Road Closure on R704 Mullinavat Village

Temporary Closure on R704 from its junction with the R448 to its junction with the M9 Motorway will be extended for a period of 2 weeks to 5th March 2021

Extention to Temporary Road Closure on R704 Mullinavat Village

Kilkenny County Council wish to advise that the temporary closure in place on the R704 will be extended for a period of 2 weeks until Friday 5th March, 2021. The R704 will be closed from its junction with the R448 to its junction with the M9 Motorway to facilitate completion of works being undertaken by David Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd.

Motorists are advised to follow diversions in place.

Diversion of non-HGV R704 traffic to/from New Ross via L3424, L3420.  Note that this route includes a low bridge at Mullinavat.

Northbound traffic will be diverted along the R448 and R713 towards Jct. 10 on the M9 Motorway and then travel southwards on the M9 Motorway to Jct. 11 and vice versa. 

Southbound traffic will be diverted along the R448 and R861 towards the Jct. W1 (Grannagh Junction Roundabout) on the N25 Dual Carriageway and then travel northwards on the M9 Motorway to Jct. 11 and vice versa.

Kilkenny County Council and the Contractor regret any inconvenience this may cause.
