Bathing Prohibition: The Weir and Bishops Meadows

⚠️ Kilkenny County Council regrets to inform you that a temporary bathing prohibition has been implemented in the following areas:

• The Weir, Bleach Road
• Bishops Meadows

➡️ This Bathing Prohibition has been recommended by Public Health Officials, as a result of failed water quality tests which show high levels of bacteria present in both locations.

➡️ Kilkenny County Council will carry out further tests and investigate the cause of these higher than normal levels. Once we have identified the issue and tests have come back clear, we will reopen the Bathing Areas.
