Rates Incentive Grants Scheme 2026

The 2026 “Rates Incentive Grant Scheme” is available to all Rate payers subject to certain terms and conditions. As approved at Kilkenny County Council’s 2026 Budget Meeting, Rate payers can avail of a grant of 8.3% of the value of their 2026 Rates Invoice (excluding arrears) up to a maximum value of €300.

Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions of the 2026 “Rates Incentive Grant Scheme” are as follows. There are two payment options:

Option 1 – Pay in full

Pay your full bill & arrears, plus outstanding Property Entry Levy if any before the end of May 2026 at the latest and deduct 8.3% up to the maximum (€300) from your 2026 Rates Invoice.

Option 2 – Monthly Payment Plan

2.1 Pay your Rates & Arrears plus any outstanding Property Entry Levy, if any, in full in 8 equal consecutive monthly instalments by direct debit from April to November 2026 and deduct 8.3% up to the maximum (€300) from your 2026 rates invoice.

2.2 Pay your Rates & Arrears plus any outstanding Property Entry Levy, if any, by Standing Order or by any other equal consecutive monthly arrangement commencing in April 2026, to be completed by end of November 2026 and deduct 8.3% up to the maximum (€300) from your 2026 rates invoice.
