Kilkenny County Council Festival Supports Grants Scheme 2022

Kilkenny County Council has provided funding for festival organisers to aid with the development and promotion of festivals with a significant tourism impact.

The main purpose of the Festival Support Grants scheme is to support festivals which drive tourism in Kilkenny, underpinning Kilkenny County Council's Tourism strategy and improving the visitor experience in Kilkenny city and county.

This year's application reflects the impact that Covid has had on events in 2020 & 2021 and invites applicants to consider how they can be creative in the programming of their event to ensure all or part of it can go ahead if the level of local or national restrictions change and to make sure they have measures in place to ensure public safety.

To be considered for funding, applicants will be asked to provide details demonstrating the following:-

1. Tourism Impact
2. Visitor numbers / participation
3. Organisational expertise
4. Future viability of event
5. Financial planning

Application Forms are available to download from here or can be obtained from the offices of Kilkenny County Council, Tourism Section, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny.
