Short Term Letting - Rent Pressure Zones, Kilkenny LEA added from 2nd July

New Rent Pressure Zone Designations,
Kilkenny Local Electoral Area (LEA) added from 2nd July, 2019

The Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Mr Eoghan Murphy, T.D., announced on the 2nd July, 2019 the designation of a further 19 new Rent Pressure Zones (RPZs) across 11 counties. Consequently, the new short term letting provisions will also now apply in these newly designated RPZs, of which Kilkenny is one. As a consequence of the announcement by the Minister, a total of 42 RPZs across 17 local authority areas are now impacted by the new short term letting arrangements requiring enforcement activity in all of the concerned local authority areas.
