Tidy Estates Competition 2024

Kilkenny County Council are accepting applications for their Tidy Estate Competition 2024 from residents in County Council estates

Kilkenny County Council are now accepting applications for their Tidy Estate Competition 2024 from residents in County Council estates.

The aim of this competition is to encourage residents to take an active role in improving the physical appearance of their estate.  This competition will allow active and regenerating community committees across the City and County to develop an estate management and environmental programme of work for their estates and to identify a goal towards which to aim.

There will be three entrance categories in County Council areas. The Council Estates will be categorized by number of dwellings, and prizes will be awarded to larger, medium, and smaller sized estates.

Prize amounts will be €600 for first place, €400 for second place, and €300 for third place in each of the three categories.

 

Basic Conditions:

Applications will be assessed under the following criteria:

Overall developmental approach , litter control, litter awareness projects, general appearance and presentation of dwellings and open spaces, recycling initiatives, wildlife and general environmental projects, community projects including links with the Tidy Towns Committee and new innovative projects.
