Environmental Education and Awareness

Kilkenny County Council has a dedicated Environmental Awareness Officer who develops a strategy annually to promote five core themes.

1. Waste Management
2. Litter Prevention and Control
3. Sustainable Development Goals
4. Climate Change  
5. Biodiversity

The strategy is completed by undertaking campaigns and running different programmes and projects with a variety of stakeholders.  Stakeholders include; schools, youth groups, community groups and businesses.
