Course Aim

The aim of the course is to enhance the ability of Kilkenny Fire and Rescue Service to deliver efficient and effective fire and rescue services by providing Fire personnel with the skills and knowledge necessary to allow them to fulfil the command, and officership and firefighting roles assigned to them under the new National Incident Command System (ICS).

Course Objectives

The objective of the course is to assist Kilkenny Fire and Rescue Service in the discharge of the various roles in the newly developed National Incident Command System.
