Temporary Road Closure Section of the R448, Gowran Road & the LP 2626

Kilkenny County Council wish to advise a section of the R448, Gowran Road, Paulstown will be closed from Tuesday, 3rd September to Thursday, 5th September from 7:00am to 7:00pm each day from the junction with the R712 (Carlow/Kilkenny Road) to the junction with the R912 (Roundabout on the Gowran Road) to facilitate road works. These works will also require the closure of the LP 2626 between Paulstown and Duninga Cross Roads.

Traffic will be diverted via the R712 & R912, Paulstown.  Traffic travelling to Paulstown who are impacted by the closure of the LP 2626 will need to drive onto the LP 2639 & the R448 via the Royal Oak.

Local access will be facilitated when possible and safe to do so but delays should be expected.

Works are weather dependent and subject to change at short notice.
