Callan Local Area Plan 2019-2028

Amendment No. 1 to the Callan Local Area Plan 2019

Kilkenny County Council resolved to make Amendment no. 1 at a meeting of the Council on Monday the 15th July 2024, to change the zoning on three sites in the Clashacollare area of Callan. 

The Amendment will have effect 6 weeks from the day that it is made (by the 26th August 2024).

A copy of Amendment 1 the Local Area Plan, is available below. This should be read in conjunction with the LAP.

Update 20th February 2024

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 19(1)(f) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended, that Kilkenny County Council has resolved to extend the life of the Callan Local Area Plan to the 25th of March 2028 (the resolution was made on the 19th February 2024).

Adoption of the Callan Local Area Plan 2019

Kilkenny County Council adopted the Local Area Plan for Callan at the meeting of the County Council on the 25th March 2019. The LAP shall have effect from the 6th May 2019.

The Local Area Plan is now available on this website below.

Copies of the LAP will be available for purchase through the Planning Department, Kilkenny County Council at a cost of €40 for a hard copy.
