Variation 2 to the Kilkenny County Development Plan 2011

Variation 2 to the Kilkenny County Development Plan 2008-2014, adopted on the 19th September 2011, modified the planning framework and zoning map for Kilmacow. See Variation No 2 to Kilkenny County Development Plan Core Strategy for further information.

Notice of Adoption

Kilkenny County Council formally adopted the Local Area Plan for Kilmacow at the meeting of the County Council on the 21st December, 2009.

The Local Area Plan is available on this website below. It is also available for inspection at the Planning Department at County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny between the hours of 9-1 and 2-4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Copies of the LAP are available for purchase through the Planning Department, Kilkenny County Council at a cost of €20 for a hard copy.

Notice of Proposed Variations to Kilmacow Draft Local Area Plan

Kilkenny County Council are in the process of making a Local Area Plan for Kilmacow and propose to make a number of variations/modifications to the previously published Draft Plan.

The proposed variations may be inspected from Friday, 9th October to Friday, 6th November, 2009 at the following locations:

A copy of the proposed variations may also be downloaded from this website.

Submissions with respect to the Proposed Variations, made in writing to the Director of Services, Planning Department, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny and received before 4pm on Friday, the 6th of November, 2009 will be taken into consideration before the Local Area Plan is made. Submissions can also be made via email to localareaplans@kilkennycoco.ie

Information on the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the proposed variations will also be available for inspection and a submission or observation in relation to such information made to the Planning Authority in the stated period above will be taken into consideration before the making of any variation.

INFORMATION EVENING
An Information Evening will be held on Wednesday 21st October in the Kilmacow Community Hall (Barrow Room) from 7pm-9pm. The purpose of the Information Evening is to provide an opportunity for the public to view the Draft Plan and Proposed Variations and speak with a member of the planning team.

Notice of Extension of period for Receipt of Submissions and Information Evening

Further to the previous notice regarding the public display of the Draft Kilmacow Local Area Plan, submissions or observations to the LAP may be made, in writing, to the Director of Services, Planning Department, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny or by email to localareaplans@kilkennycoco.ie.

The original closing date of 17th July has been extended to the 31st July. All written and email submissions/observations received on or before 4 pm on the 31st July 2009, will be taken into consideration before the Local Area Plan is made.

An Information Evening will be held on Wednesday 1st July in the Kilmacow Community Hall from 7pm-9pm. The purpose of the Information Evening is to provide an opportunity for the public to view the Draft Plan and speak with a member of the planning team in advance of making submissions on the plans.

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the County of Kilkenny propose to make a Local Area Plan (LAP) for Kilmacow.

A copy of the Draft LAP may be inspected from Friday 5th June to Friday 17th July, 2009 at the following locations:

Public Consultation Autumn 2008

Public Notice of Further Consultation Workshop for the Kilmacow Draft Local Area Plan

Kilkenny County Council is preparing a Draft Local Area Plan for Kilmacow.  As part of the plan preparation process, public consultation was carried out in March and April 2008.  Further to this, an additional public consultation workshop has been arranged to deal with a number of issues in more detail. 

You are invited to attend this public consultation workshop which will take place in the Community Hall, Kilmacow on Tuesday 28th October 2008 at 7.00 p.m.  

The format of the evening will be:

  1. Introduction
  2. Community Exercise 1 – Observations/ Discussion on the Settlement Size
  3. Coffee Break
  4. Community Exercise 2 – Recognising the Village Character
  5. Conclusion

 

We encourage all interested parties to attend this workshop.

PUBLIC NOTICE

KILKENNY COUNTY Council

Notice is hereby given that Kilkenny County Council intends to prepare a Local Area Plan for Kilmacow.

Submissions or observations regarding the review of the existing plans and the preparation of a Local Area Plan may be made, in writing, to the Director of Services, Planning Department, County Hall, Johns Street, Kilkenny from the date of this notice up until and including 5 pm on Friday 18th April, 2008 or you can make submissions by email to kilmacowlap@kilkennycoco.ie

You are invited to attend a public consultation workshop in the Foxes Den Pub in Upper Kilmacow on Tuesday 1st April 2008 at 7.00 p.m.

All written and email submissions/observations received on or before the 18th April 2008 will be considered by the County Council prior to the making of a draft Local Area Plan.

Submissions relating to Kilmacow received previously as part of the preparation of the Draft County Development Plan 2008 – 2014 will be considered as part of the preparation of the local area plan.
